Is CC Finished?

The New York Yankees made a lot of moves this offseason, but still came into the season with some question marks surrounding the team. One of them being C.C Sabathia. Sabathia got into better shape this offseason hoping it would come with better results.

Sabathia got the nod on Opening Day vs the Houston Astros. No disrespect to the Astros but their lineup is no murders row. It is arguably the worst lineup in the league. Sabathia was hit hard early on in the game. The Astros put up a four spot in the first after Jesus Guzman hit a three-run home run off Sabathia. In the second the Astros put up another two runs with a home run from L.J Hoes. Yankee fans better be worried about Sabathia giving up home runs to no name players. Sabathia did settle in a bit and was able to get through six innings.

Their is a reason for concern for the Yankees and Sabathia. His fastball was averaging 89 MPH which is way below what Sabathia is used to throwing. This is just one of the flaws the Yankees have that people really didn't look at in the offseason. Everyone was just looking at the amount of money they spent in the offseason. In reality this team has a lot of holes from top to bottom. People are forgetting they have to try and replace the best second basemen in the league and the greatest closer of all time.

I think the Yankees will 85 games maximum and will miss the playoffs for the second straight season.I know it is only one game and it is a long season, but this is one of their questions marks that seems like it will be a problem for most of the year.
